Open Call for Grenada Arts Council Christmas Pop-up Exhibition

Registration for the Christmas Pop-up exhibit on December 20th is now open!

CALL TO ARTISTS
Name of Venue or Event: Christmas Pop-up Exhibit at Spiceland Mall, Morne Rouge.

Work Media: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Media, Installation.

Work Size: Artists need to be able to transport work on their own. Artwork needs to be able to fit through the entrance of the mall.

Exhibit Timeline: December 20th, 10:00am – 5:00pm

Registration Due: The due date for submission to be included in the exhibit will be 11:59pm, Friday, November 14th

• The executive members of the Grenada Arts Council will review submissions and inform artists regarding their inclusion in the exhibit.
• Grenada Arts Council will not be providing display walls for this exhibit. Artists are responsible for bringing their own displays or renting tables and/or chairs through Grenada Arts Council. Please indicate what you will need. Maximum two artist per 6 foot table. Artists will need to have their display needs arranged ahead of time. Artists will not be permitted to have artwork on the floor or against the walls of Spiceland Mall.
  
• Publicity: Artists accepted into the Christmas pop-up exhibit will be promoted on Grenada Art’s Council’s social media.
  
• Sales: There will be a $20 ec registration fee and 10% of art sales will go to Grenada Arts Council to enable our volunteers to continue offering opportunities for local artists.

We will be having our Christmas Pop-up exhibit at Spiceland Mall. Grenada Arts Council will provide access to table and chair rentals. Once artists are accepted, artists will contribute a registration fee of $20ec.

Grenada Arts Council will have the artists handle sale of art from the exhibit and 10% of sales will go to Grenada Arts Council to ensure the organising body can continue planning events and exhibits for the future.

Artists will be responsible for providing information about the work and the artwork should be ready to display.

Artists are encouraged to come with original artwork created in the last 2 years of manageable sizes as well as prices displayed.

Artists will need to indicate whether they will be using the rental table and chairs. Payment for the rentals can be made at Grenadian Optical at Spiceland Mall or in St. George’s. Payment will need to be made by Friday, December 5th at the latest.
