Open Call for Grenada Arts Council Post Carnival Pop-up Exhibition

Registration for the Post Carnival Pop-up exhibit on August 15th is now open!

CALL TO ARTISTS
Name of Venue or Event: Post Carnival Pop-up Exhibit at Spiceland Mall, Morne Rouge.

Work Media: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed Media, Installation.

Artwork Requirements:

• Artwork must be original and created within the last year.
• Artists must be able to transport and set up their own work.
• Maximum artwork size: 4 ft x 4 ft.
• Artwork should arrive ready for display with prices clearly indicated.
• Artwork may not be placed on the floor or leaned against mall walls.

Exhibit Timeline: August 15th, 10:00am – 5:00pm

Registration Due: The due date for submission to be included in the exhibit will be 11:59pm, Wednesday, July 15th

• The executive members of the Grenada Arts Council will review submissions and inform artists regarding their inclusion in the exhibit.
  

Artist Participation Package – EC$60 : The participation fee for the Grenada Arts Council Post Carnival Pop-Up Exhibit is EC$60 per artist.

Your package includes:

✔️ Artist registration
✔️ One (1) 6-foot display table
✔️ One (1) chair
✔️ Participation in the Post Carnival Pop-Up Exhibit
✔️ Promotion on the Grenada Arts Council social media platforms
✔️ Inclusion on the Grenada Arts Council website as a participating artist

One artist will be assigned per table.

Participation Requirements

As this is a Post Carnival Pop-Up Exhibit, each participating artist is required to exhibit at least one (1) original artwork inspired by or celebrating Carnival. Artists are welcome to display additional works in any style or medium.

Additional Display Equipment

To assist with exhibition planning, artists must specify any additional display materials or fixtures they intend to bring (e.g., easels, display panels, stands, racks, shelving, mannequins, etc.) and indicate the quantity of each item.

All display items must be approved by the Grenada Arts Council prior to the event.

Sales

• Commission: 20% of all sales will go to the Grenada Arts Council to support future exhibitions and opportunities for local artists.

Publicity

Accepted artists and selected works will be promoted on Grenada Arts Council social media platforms.
